Mr. B
Pros: My son has had this first base mitt for only 3 weeks. He got it the last week of regular rec season. He has played a total of 4 games with travel ball and loves this mitt. With all stars ramping up we are glad we purchased a Mizuno. It was easy to break in! We have bought Mizuno for all of our boys and tried some other brands as well. Mizuno has always been their favorite!
Cons: The laces got loose in a couple of days, but no big deal.
CWT
Pros: Good design and nice two tone look. Velcro closure and 12" size make it a good fit for larger 9yr olds up to 11-12yr olds.
Cons: Stiff break in, needs more time and oil treatments before game ready. Gold paint graphics were faded or rubbed off by the 3rd use.

Pros: The was a great purchase for my 8 yr old son. Shipping was quick the glove was pretty much broke in right out of the box. Recieved it Wednesday and used it in tournament that Saturday. The wrist strap is really good in case your child has small hands. For the price you can't beat this glove. My son loves his. I recommend for ages 7-12.

Pros: Great glove for kids. It has a pretty deep pocket and closes well. It has a wide design overall. It's a good glove for kids.
Cons: I don't recommend this glove for ages 12 and up, not enough padding.

Pros: Fits great on my 8 year old. Great 1st year 1st baseman glove learning the position. I would strongly suggest this glove to any player!! Velcro strap helps keep glove tight on small hands.
Cons: None!!
BEAST 1ST BASE
Pros: its a great glove, ive had mine for 4 and a half years now and ive only just had to get it re-laced, its really easy to break in and so easy to get used to,
Cons: none
Dan
Pros: wide area to field the ball and easier for the child to keep his glove open. nice closing system (bought the Prospect two years ago and their isn't a better glove to help make sure your child has success in closing the glove on the ball, and it fields the ball better than most due to it's wide design). This glove is great too, just needs a bit of breaking in, but will take less than others. Also bought the A0700 which is better leather, but will take longer and also runs much larger than described (too large for my 11 1/2 YO. Bought from justgloves.com because of the no hassle return, the prices are good and the selection is great (and no I don't work for this company or any sporting goods company).
Cons: None
Lefty
Pros: Decent first position glove for the young first baseman. No break-in required, ready to use. Light weight, easy to handle and close.
Cons: Lightweight leather doesn't hold up - glove was very floppy after less than a full season (probably 20-25 games). Edging and lacing looking frayed in several spots. Pricey unless you buy on sale
BBDad
Pros: Bought for my 11 yr old. Good for a kids initial first baseman mitt. Breaks in and closes easily which is good for young hands and helps player get used to different style of glove. I highly recommend.
Cons: None
tank

FromDaDead
