The BF1353 will be close to the recommended size for an 11 year old who plays mulitple positions. An 11.5 inch glove is more common, but he should be just fine with an 11.25 inch model. This should fit his hand just fine.

The BF1353 will be very easy to break in. As far adjustability...that will be on par with similar models. It depends on the age of the player, but it may be a little small on a High School age outfielder. You can always check out the "Glove Coach" at the top of the webpage for size recommendations.

Unless he has big hands and/or is currently using an adult glove, then the Nike N1 Air Series: BF1353 might be too big for him. Most 9 year old players are still using youth gloves. A youth glove will have smaller finger stalls and a more narrow wrist opening that will better accommodate a young/small players hand.
